Metropolis Thinking Lab - Copenhagen

Together with poet and urban planner Jan Hatt-Olsen, Ásta took on a role as an Urban Alchemist in the beginning of this month. On a bicycle with a trailer containing a computer, a projector and 50 metres of cables, we pedalled through the urban landscape equipped with artworks to project on just about anything we desired, or whereever people were willing to supply us with power. Metropolis Thinking Lab, urban interventionists from all over came together to rethink the city through experiments of various sorts.

Canadian Jessica Thompson from GlowLab assisted people with making their own sound kit for bicycles and then guided them around town in a bicycle symphony inspired by the World Soundscape Project.


The Secret Company located their caravan on two different squares in the city, their guests got coffee and Danish "hygge" in exchange for secret stories and secret places.
Charles Landry from Comedia asked what is the cost of no artistic thought in city planning? and how do we make places out of Suburbia?'
Hapsitus showed us how they invade places with stories and characters, make people curious and stimulates them to create stories.. 
Charlie Murrow's suggested the new neighbourhood in Řrested could be a sound awareness park. 
PUSH arcitechts discovered the beauty and potentials of Copenhagen's North harbour Nordhavn.
