In a selected corner store in Cape Town customers are asked to share an everyday experience in the city, and document it textually or visually on specific cards prepared by Urbanistan during a period prior to the Conflux festival. During the Conflux festival the collected cards will become accessible to the passers-by in a selected corner store in Williamsburg. Here they no longer simply represent everyday experiences in the streets of Cape Town, but, serve as maps and can be projected into unique walks and observations of Brooklyn. The festival participants (and or regular passers-by at the store) select a card that is to serve as a recipe for a walk. They are asked to document their meta-experience on this same card and put it on display at a specific location at the HQ. Here the cards display a dialogue between a) the customers in the corner stores, b) the two corner stores and c) the two cities. Further, they can serve as recipes for a unique experience in another city, another day.
